Silvia Bunge publishes developmental cognitive neuroscience textbook

Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute member Silvia A. Bunge, professor of psychology, recently published a textbook titled Fundamentals of Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience, with co-author Heather Bortfeld from UC Merced.

The textbook is an introduction to human cognitive development from the prenatal period through adolescence, and integrates biological studies of the brain with behavioral studies of human development. Topics include the neurodevelopmental basis of perception, language comprehension, socioemotional development, memory systems, literacy and numeracy, and self-regulation. The book is suitable for advanced undergraduate and graduate courses, and is available for free online for UC Berkeley library users.
