HWNI member Hedy Kober, professor of psychology, is the winner of the 2026 Mid-Career Trajectory in Affective Science Award from the Society for Affective Science (SAS). This honor celebrates the outstanding scientific impact of an SAS member who received their PhD or other terminal degree more than 10 and fewer than 25 years prior to the upcoming SAS meeting. Kober’s lab uses multidisciplinary approaches to study self-regulation with a focus on substance use disorders, and she is also a licensed clinical psychologist.
