HWNI member James Hurley has been selected for the 2024 Parkinson’s Disease Translational Research Program from SPARK NS. This two-year immersive program is designed to advance academic discoveries in Parkinson’s disease from the lab to the clinic.
The program will support Hurley’s research project, Small Molecule for Autophagy Enhancement for Parkinson’s Disease. Preliminary data that led to this project were generated with the support of the Aligning Science Across Parkinson's initiative, where HWNI member Randy Schekman serves as chair of the scientific advisory board.
