Noah Whiteman to talk about his book ‘Most Delicious Poison’ on March 5

On March 5, 2025, HWNI member Noah Whiteman will discuss his book, Most Delicious Poison: The Story of Nature’s Toxins—From Spices to Vices, at a public event hosted by the UC Berkeley Library. The talk will be held from 5-6:30pm in the Morrison Library (101 Doe Library). Whiteman is a professor of molecular and cell biology and integrative biology who studies co-evolution between species, including the relationship between dietary toxins and the nervous system.

Whiteman’s presentation will be followed by a conversation with HWNI member Michael Silver, professor of neuroscience and optometry and vision science and director of the Berkeley Center for the Science of Psychedelics, with an audience Q&A. Afterwards, there will be a reception and book signing.
