Boaz Styr, a postdoctoral fellow in the Yartsev lab, has won a 2025 Warren Alpert Distinguished Scholars Fellowship Award in Neuroscience from the Warren Alpert Foundation. The highly competitive awards support exceptionally creative postdoctoral scientists in the field of neuroscience, with the goal of facilitating their transition to faculty positions.
Styr will receive $200,000 annually for two years to support his project investigating the role of the motor cortex in the control of flight in bats, which will advance understanding of dexterous motor control in the mammalian brain. Read more from the Warren Alpert Foundation.
