In a new “101 in 101” video from UC Berkeley, Julie Elie, an associate project scientist in the lab of HWNI member Frédéric Theunissen, explains how she discovered the meaning of zebra finch vocalizations, which won her the 2026 Coller Dolittle Prize for Two-way Interspecies Communication.
