We are pleased to announce that Gravity Emanuel has joined HWNI as our new Administrative and Operations Coordinator. Gravity joined UC Berkeley in 2021, initially starting out as a contact tracer for the university's COVID-19 Response Team. In 2023, they transitioned to the administrative team at the Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) office, where they helped Cal students connect to free mental health care and ADHD testing services.
Gravity is originally from Rockville, Maryland and went to study at Stetson University in DeLand, FL to receive a BA in Sociology. Much of their free time is spent playing with the local roller derby league, Bay Area Derby, where they are known on the track as Karma Koncussion. When they aren't skating, they like to hike, bake, and play tabletop roleplaying games.
